The Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales to play a pivotal role in driving our sales organization to the next level. This newly created position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and will work closely with the existing sales leadership to lead and expand the growing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale the sales organization, ensuring the achievement of revenue growth targets and sales team expansion.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales leaders, including directors and managers overseeing 25-50 sales professionals.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales performance, including hiring, onboarding, and training new sales talent.
- Oversee $50M - $70M in annual bookings, ensuring revenue goals align with company objectives.
- Actively participate in the sales process by engaging with key customers, closing deals, and demonstrating hands-on leadership.
- Partner with company leadership to refine and optimize the sales methodology.
- Drive accountability within the sales organization, ensuring high performance in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and key stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
- 10-15 years of sales experience, with direct quota-carrying background.
- At least 5 years in a VP-level sales leadership role, with preference for candidates from SVP, EVP, or CRO backgrounds at smaller companies.
- Proven success in scaling sales teams and growing revenue. Proven track record of scaling sales revenue from $15M to $50M while leading and growing high-performing teams.
- Strong experience managing and developing sales leadership (directors, managers) within a team of 25-50 sales professionals.
- Deep expertise in the software industry, with a track record of building high-performance sales organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results in a high-pressure, performance-oriented culture.
