About The Role
As a member of our product operations organization, you will support Ramp’s product offerings for our customers as we scale. You will leverage data to identify opportunities for our users, build out automation and processes to help Ramp scale internally, and assist in the launch process for new features. You’ll work closely with our Spend Management team including product managers, engineers, design, data and our customer-facing teams. Spend Management owns our core spend product, including reimbursements, controls, core workflows product, notifications, and travel & entertainment to control spend.

About The Role

What You’ll Do
- Leverage SQL and data to improve accounting workflows, analyze customer support tickets, and identify opportunities to enhance the integration experience with major ERPs like NetSuite and Sage
- Drive operational improvements around sync errors, transaction coding, and accounting workflows while building comprehensive help center documentation and training materials
- Become the foremost expert on the accounting user experience, bridging the gap between customer-facing teams and product/engineering to evolve our accounting offerings and resolve technical issues
- Partner with Product Operations leadership to improve how Ramp serves accounting teams, with a focus on automating transaction coding and streamlining ERP integrations
- Own identifying opportunities to automate, optimize, and refine processes to help us scale operationally as we continue to expand the scope of our products, and own the change management of those updates
- Minimum 2 years working in product management, product operations, business operations, or consulting
- Strong ability to use data to understand opportunity and query data via SQL
- Experience working directly with customers through feedback requests and/or user research interviews
- Experience leveraging qualitative feedback to create product recommendations
- Ability to work in undefined spaces
- Strong investigative and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate accounting user feedback into product improvements and technical requirements
- Strong program management capabilities to coordinate across multiple teams (Solutions, CX, Sales, Product)
- Deep understanding of accounting fundamentals, ERP systems, and financial workflows
- Experience building and maintaining performance dashboards and documentation for technical/accounting processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (ex. Netsuite, Sage, Workday, etc.)
- Strong accounting domain knowledge and familiarity
- Experience working with accounting teams and finance professionals, understanding their workflows and pain points
- Technical programming experience (Python, Java, React)
- Spend Management owns our core spend product, including card issuance, reimbursements, and travel & entertainment to control spend
- Intelligence owns the reporting, savings, and price intelligence products to help companies make better financial decisions
- Bill Payments owns our invoice management, accounts payable, and B2B payment capabilities
- Risk owns our underwriting and financial products that determine which businesses to approve and how to manage risk
- Growth owns onboarding, activation and retention products to help our customers be successful on the Ramp platform
- Accounting owns creating intelligence in our accounting platform, saving finance teams time and money
- Mobile owns our mobile app development and mobile strategy
- Travel owns new capabilities for bookings and expense automation throughout a trip
- Please note that this Product Operations role will require you to be comfortable with working in-person at our NYC HQ (located near Madison Square Park) at least 3 days/week*
