Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical assistance to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and systems. You will leverage your expertise in various technologies to troubleshoot issues, maintain hardware, and support users in a dynamic environment.

  • Reports to the service manager and CEO / vCIO.
  • Provides support for our clients’ technology infrastructures - moderate to complex nature - to ensure end-user productivity and efficiency.
  • Uses troubleshooting techniques to provide accurate, timely, and creative resolutions to end-user and technology-related issues.
  • Provides support to an array of clients, environments, and applications that make up the respective technology infrastructures.
  • Will collaborate with client staff, RamTech team, and 3rd party vendors to ensure optimal operation of the company’s technology environment and recommend corrective solutions.

This position will be both in office and at client sites in the Tri-county are of Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach county.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and responds to helpdesk reported issues for end-user support.
  • Performs detailed problem analysis, documents issues, and recommends solutions related to software, hardware, network, and other technology issues.
  • Endpoint (desktop/laptops) configuration, installation, and deployment.
  • Performs software installation and upgrades as applicable.
  • Participates with testing and documentation in software pre-pilots, pilots and roll-outs.
  • Install, support, and maintain Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Windows Server, and VMware.
  • Monitors and responds to security alerts, system failure alerts, and other notifications.
  • Patch Management (includes, but is not limited to, OS, endpoints, hardware, etc.).
  • Assist with routers, switches, and telephony technologies.
  • Manage and supports replication and back-up technologies.
  • Writes technical documentation for internal knowledge base on identified issues, resolutions, and work-arounds.
  • Participates in the creation of project plans, project execution, and close-out activities.

Experience / Education

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Proven experience in technical support or a similar role is preferred.
  • Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in maintaining essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware technologies.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including LAN, DNS, and network administration.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting various operating systems and computer hardware issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge in writing and verbal.
  • Valid and active drivers license and vehicle required.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is required.
  • Preferred but not required - Certifications in Information Technology like Network , A , MCSA, etc..
  • Preferred but not required - an Associates in Arts degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in the Information Technology field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
