SUMMARY
Housekeeping Floor Care Specialist is responsible for assisting with housekeeping projects such as power washing the tile floors, walking paths, cleaning patio umbrellas and carpets, cleaning the ground lights and performing other duties as assigned by their supervisor. This position requires expertise on Saltillo Tile, Wood Flooring and is a full time, overnight position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Power wash patio umbrellas using power washing machine.
- Power washing floors in the lobby area, pool/tennis area and walking paths on the resort.
- Deep cleaning carpets in guest rooms using extraction/encapsulating machine.
- Cleaning ground lights and deep cleaning patios.
- Assist housemen with other tasks, if necessary, as directed by supervisor.
- Deliver juices to the casita's early morning
- Actively participates in safety programs and abides by all injury reporting and safety behavior requirements.
- Participate in and support hotel efforts towards community, sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Saltillo Tile Expert
- Wood Flooring Expert
- Ability to effectively communicate in English with vendors, guests and staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- Valid California driver’s license.
Desirable
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Operating knowledge of usage of the equipment such as power washing machine, carpet extracting machine, etc.

- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy.
- Ability to follow through on projects in a courteous and cooperativeness manner with with minimal supervision.
- Ability to exert physical effort in using cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in cleaning various work areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to moving about the property.
- Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
- Frequent need to stand, walk for long periods of time.
- Lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and items clearly which are beyond arms’ reach.
- Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
Salary : $23 - $24
