Job Type: Regular Workday HCM Business Analyst The Workday (WD) HCM (Human Capital Management) Business Analyst (BA) is a member of the Workday Service Center (WSC) team in RAND’s Information Services (IS) department. The WSC is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of HCM and financial applications, integrations, and reports delivered primarily through the WD cloud ERP platform. The WD HCM BA must have strong human capital management experience in one or more ERP implementations and experience with at least one (1) Workday HCM implementation, with solid skills in the WD toolset while maintaining a rigorous commitment to quality, security, and attention to detail. Responsibilities On an ongoing basis, configure and support WD Core HCM and/or one or more of WD Benefits, Recruiting, Timekeeping, and Payroll modules, plus handle and manage WD service tickets through prioritization and completion. Participate in, and may lead, the implementation of new modules and functionality, including Learning and Advanced Compensation. Gather business requirements from our business community and management and convert the business requirements to technical specifications to include reports creation/analysis for enhanced business analysis and system configurations. Manage and build reports and conduct data analysis. Conduct root cause analysis to determine an appropriate action plan to include correction and/or escalation of WD break/fix issues. Define requirements for and test integrations. Maintain and enhance WD Security requirements/roles (creating/configuring/maintaining) as well as configuring/streamlining/reconfiguring business processes. Maintain data integrity through all data transformations and transmissions. Participate and support prototypes and demonstrations of new functionality. As per management guidance, support the WD bi-annual upgrades processes. Act as primary named support contact with WD, managing communications with WD Support. Collaborate and contribute to the WD community user groups. Qualifications Experience implementing and/or supporting Workday Core HCM and one or more associated modules – Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, and/or Timekeeping. Hands-on experience with technical offerings such as EIB, Core Connectors, Integrations, BIRT, and Reporting (Advanced, Composite, Matrix). Familiarity with Workday’s security framework. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Project management skills for the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Excellent verbal communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work closely with HR and business stakeholders throughout the organization. Accomplishment in documenting and publishing solutions to commonly reported issues and updating as needed. Responsible for the thorough testing and analysis of new Workday features and functionality, participates in release planning, and is accountable for regression testing and unit testing. Strong consideration will be given for candidates with a background in computer science, human resources, finance, or accounting. Salary Range: $102,800 - $156,500 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate’s work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND’s sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
