Randall Prefabrication is currently seeking a top-tier Warehouse Assistant (plumbing / Prefab Shop) to work in our Shop in Apopka, FL. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.
Position Summary
At Randall, a Warehouse Assistant helps with various tasks to maintain the day-to-day operations of a warehouse. This position reports to the Logistics / Warehouse – Inventory Manager.
Essential Functions
- Receiving Materials Into a computer-based inventory system
- Order Review from vendors
- Entering plumbing & piping products into our digital receiving system
- Staging / Kitting and Dispatching Materials into Fabrication workflow
- Tagging / labeling ALL goods coming in and out of warehouse
- Warehouse / Shop Housekeeping
- Equipment Maintenance
- Inventory control by means and methods
- Safety
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Desired Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Knowledge of plumbing / mechanical products & materials highly valued.
- Must be proficient in all the following: Microsoft office, excel, inventory software, etc.
- Professional image/presentable.
- Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
- Communication skills (can speak to people in a professional environment).
- Time conscious (can be on time and efficient).
- Trade knowledge/ Nomenclature (Plumbing, HVAC, etc.) necessary
- Teachable (self-teachable, willing to go out and find knowledge that they need.)
- Competent and efficient with basic Mathematics.
- Willingness to complete ongoing training in timely basis
- Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Ability to pass drug screen and reference check.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to work well with others.
Physical Requirements
This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
