Randolph House Hotel, a new and exciting addition to the vibrant hospitality scene in Liverpool/North Syracuse, is preparing to open its doors in March 2025! We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to join our leadership team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.

Job Summary:
As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that the hotel maintains a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for all guests. You will manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensure efficient operations, and maintain quality control while upholding the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, train, and supervise the housekeeping team, including assigning daily tasks and ensuring proper performance.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and support to ensure the team remains knowledgeable and motivated.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage, especially during peak periods.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues promptly.
Housekeeping Operations:
- Oversee the cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, ensuring all areas meet or exceed cleanliness standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to maintain quality control and consistency.
- Ensure the proper handling of all cleaning equipment and supplies, and manage inventory effectively.
Guest Satisfaction:
- Address guest concerns or complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the needs of guests are met and that the hotel operates smoothly.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records for the housekeeping department, including inventory, cleaning schedules, and staff attendance.
- Assist with budgeting and ordering supplies to ensure the department operates efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality management or related certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in housekeeping management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, cleaning techniques, and equipment maintenance.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
