What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Services Supervisor position at Randolph-Macon College?
Randolph-Macon College is seeking a Maintenance Services Supervisor to join our Physical Plant team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Facilities, this position will perform supervisory duties of all trade’s employees. Consistently maintaining the highest quality service to our campus population in accordance with the RMC Physical Plant mission statement.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Plumbing, painting, electrical, and carpentry trades; HVAC and mechanical systems; motor pool maintenance.
- Daily management and reporting of work order system for this department, to include all trade related work orders and PM’s as scheduled.
- Daily operations of the central steam and chiller plants and associated distribution campus wide.
- Coordination with sub-contractors and miscellaneous vendors to perform regulatory and small project work across the campus.
- Preventive maintenance and repairs of all equipment associated with food services at Estes Dining Hall and associated facilities.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, GED equivalent or higher level of education.
- At least 5 years experience in the facilities maintenance field with a progression in supervisory responsibilities.
- Good oral, written, and customer service focused communication skills. Must be able to interface with students, faculty, and staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Basic computer skills required, to include work order management, time card management, general email skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams programs.
- Ability to supervise, plan and organize work schedules to ensure work goals are efficiently accomplished.
- Ability to work within the overall organization of the physical plant.
- Ability to perform as a team supervisor on all daily and project related work activities.
- Possess a well-developed knowledge of materials, equipment, supplies, and procedure used to professionally supervise the maintenance and repairs of all Randolph-Macon College buildings and facilities.
