Position is Benefit eligible.
Member of Unit A Teacher's Union. Eligible for MTRS pension
182 day work year with salary and benefits per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
1.Model, coach and help monitor/analyze progress of skills using behavior analysis.
2.Educate parents and staff about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) on a regular basis.
3.Maintain ongoing direct communication with parents via in-person or virtual meetings, emails and phone calls.
4.Facilitate the development of and develop (for initial evaluations) IEP goals and objectives; implementation of district wide compliance expectations on all special education procedures and policies.
5.Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings.
6.Attend and/or facilitate staff meetings, training workshops, or Professional Development, as required.
7.Facilitate the organization and creation of appropriate learning materials for students.
8.Consults with individual students, classroom teachers (including classroom-wide management systems, the creation of visual systems, the implementation of data systems, behavior plans, curriculum modifications and accommodations and providing staff with resources, tools, and in-class modeling of techniques) and teaching assistants/paraprofessionals.
9.Develops and monitor BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans) after conducting an FBA for individual students as needed and supports staff members in developing and implementing the BIPs.
10.Communicates, cooperates, and collaborates with staff, students, and parents.
11.Other related activities assigned by direct supervisors and the special education administrators (district and building wide).
12.Oversee and provide close collaboration with staff for ABA interventions and instruction practices for students with ASD.
