We have a 12 month contract opportunity for an EHR Specialist (Altera Sunrise & Paragon). This role is fully remote but must work CST business hours.
Our client is seeking experienced consultants to serve as a Specialist for our Altera Sunrise and Paragon EHR platforms. This role is critical in supporting system-level excellence, internal team coordination, and execution of initiatives tied to these EHRs.
You'll act as the primary internal SME for these platforms, ensuring we stay aligned with best practices, meet technical standards, and move projects forward efficiently.
This is a high-visibility role requiring strong technical know-how, workflow understanding, and proactive engagement.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary internal subject matter expert for the Altera Sunrise and Paragon EHR systems.
- Act as the point person for questions regarding EHR capabilities, project resourcing, and domain-specific system knowledge.
- Guide stakeholders in understanding system limitations, workflows, and how changes may impact operations across domains
- Understand and articulate clinical and operational workflows across domains within Sunrise and Paragon.
- Leverage your technical background to collaborate with IT, clinical informatics, and vendor teams on system-related work.
- Participate in all relevant projects involving Altera Sunrise and Paragon, including:
- Lead discovery and documentation of functional and technical requirements
- Divestiture discovery
- Upgrade planning and execution
- PR (Production Request) tracking, coordination, and validation
- Ensure technical assessments are up to date to keep systems compliant with internal standards.
- Collaborate with the Partner Performance Director and participate in discussions with Altera specifically related to Sunrise and Paragon.
- Responsible for contract-related tasks such as voucher processing, purchase order tracking, and documentation tied to Sunrise and Paragon.
- Proven experience with Altera Sunrise and/or Paragon EHR systems.
- Technical background with the ability to understand and explain EHR architecture, data models, and integrations.
- Experience supporting clinical workflows or working in clinical informatics is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT project lifecycles, upgrade cycles, and system change management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and operational needs.
- Proactive, organized, and self-directed-able to troubleshoot and resolve issues without needing all the answers handed to you.
- Technical background with the ability to understand and explain EHR architecture, data models, and integrations.
- Experience supporting clinical workflows or working in clinical informatics is a strong plus.
