Key Responsibilities
1. Facility Maintenance and Operations
o Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC,
electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure.
o Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal
functionality.
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
2. Vendor and Contractor Management
o Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers for facility
repairs and upgrades.
o Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
o Monitor and evaluate vendor performance.
3. Safety and Compliance
o Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and
environmental regulations.
o Conduct routine safety audits and address any identified issues.
o Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance
certifications.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control
o Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring effective cost control.
o Track expenses
o Prepare reports on facility performance, costs, and project progress.
5. Team Leadership
o Supervise and lead the facilities team
o Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
o Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
(or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in a
manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in building systems & preventive maintenance
Knowledge: Familiarity with steel manufacturing processes and related facility
requirements is a strong plus.
Certifications: Certifications in HVAC and in facilities management (e.g., FMP, CFM)
preferred
