What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Manager position at Randstad Enterprise?
Supports the development, implementation, and execution of Category sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to achieve broad based business objectives with support from Category Lead. Responsibilities include supplier management, contract management, data analytics, RFQ’s, and contract negotiations. Support the management of our Joint Value Creation partners focused on mutual revenue growth, ensuring first access to innovation and margin optimization.
- Work collaboratively throughout the Supply Chain to drive cost improvement, quality, and supply continuity through Supplier management, identifying synergies, and negotiations for assigned commodities
- Develop, advocate, and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to achieve short and long-term objectives, working closely with related internal departments (i.e. R&D, Packaging, Marketing) to ensure that Procurement commitments meet all internal business requirements.
- Lead cross supplier negotiations to ensure best overall cost position for the Organization for assigned commodities.
- Responsible for global supplier relationship to ensure a collaborative working relationship throughout the Supply Chain
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry best practices and technology trends with ability to educate team members and business partners clearly and simply as needed.
- Develop, execute, and refresh robust business supply continuity plans to mitigate risk of supply disruption.
- Lead the budget process across Brands for assigned commodities.
- Deliver sustainability transformation efforts within assigned commodities. Partner with relevant internal stakeholders on strategies related to changing global regulatory compliance requirements and environmental best practices.
More specifically for the rigid plastics packaging portfolio, support the team to:
- Develop a pricing methodology (formula, tier pricing) with converters that deliver transparency, competitiveness, supply continuity, and sustainability.
- Support planning run-strategies to find the best balance between order quantities and cost – and design a process for a regular review of the MOQ considering cost vs. inventory / E&O
- Focus on new molding and decoration technologies and supply process that could deliver shorter lead-time, smaller runs, supply security, late-stage differentiation.
- Identify pragmatic and transformational solutions towards Plastic sustainability (PCR, Ocean Plastics, etc.)
- Recommend and execute best network design in terms of total cost (including inventory, E&O, transport) and lead-time, and draft an updated sourcing strategy with adequate supply base (technical capabilities, competitiveness, location, etc.)
