Job Description:
A Quality Assurance Technician is needed for a large food manufacturing company in Orleans county.
Responsibilities:
- Perform lab testing, document results, and inspect incoming glass.
- Conduct quality checks on production lines, verifying finished goods information, temperatures, weights, and samples are within specifications.
- Inspect product in production, including brix, pH, acidity, viscosity, taste, odor, and color.
- Operate various lab equipment, such as an auto titrator, spectrophotometer, weigh scale, GC, pH, Brix, turbidity meter, hand tools, Viscosity meter, personal computer, and other office equipment.
- Review paperwork during line checks, including label verifications.
- Inspect, test, and document results on incoming supplies and ingredients, verifying they meet specifications.
- Swabbing for cleanliness or allergens when needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in Quality Assurance (3 years preferred)
- Inspection skills
- Blueprint reading skills
- Product inspection skills
Work Environment:
- Steel toe shoes required
- Manual lifting up to 50lbs
- Standing for 8 hours at one time
