Job title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Bedford, MA 01730

Shift: Monday – Friday, 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM

Onsite / Hybrid / Remote: 100% On-Site

Pay Range: $35-40/hr on W2.

Duration: 12 Months (Temp to Permanent)

Responsibilities:

• In this dynamic environment, the candidate must develop and maintain a thorough understanding of current products in development and their manufacturing processes while providing support to development teams.
• The candidate will work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional product development team which is responsible for achieving project scope, time, and cost targets.
• The candidate will successfully transfer robust products and processes from R&D to manufacturing and commercial launch.

• Possess strong engineering and technical problem-solving skills
• Possess strong communication skills
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
• Communicate effectively with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Health Safety & Environment, Supply Chain, and Product Management.
• Demonstrate sound decision making based on tangible facts
• Be able to multi-task effectively
• Have experience with statistical software

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of experience in a related technical area
• Possess proficient engineering skills in the areas of problem solving, experimentation, and data analysis.
• Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and have the ability to interact effectively with people in all areas of the company including Plant Operations, R&D, Quality, and Product Management.
• Must be experienced with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in Product Development is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of filtration products, processes, and applications is a plus.
• Mechanical design and experience with thermoplastics are highly desirable.

Required:

• Must be hands on/ practical person more so than theoretical
• CAD/SolidWorks
• Word/Excel
• Statistical software
• 1-2 years of experience (internship and co-op experience counts)
• Largely a lab-based role
• Product Development experience
• Thermoplastics/ plastic injections experience
