Position Description:
Position Title: Network Administrator
Location: Range USA Store Support Center - Cincinnati, Ohio (This is an in-person, full-time, on-site position in Cincinnati, Ohio. No contract-to-hire, no remote)

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive professional who blends leadership, project management, and technical expertise with a high level of accountability, strong problem-solving skills, great communication, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and stay composed under pressure.
Job Description:
- Network Design & Management: Architect, configure, and maintain reliable, secure, scalable LAN/WAN networks across 50 retail locations, our Store Support Center, and cloud environments.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor firewall, VPN, and appliance configurations using tools such as Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Proofpoint, and VMware Carbon Black.
- Incident Response & Monitoring: Leverage real-time monitoring to detect and quickly respond to network anomalies, slowness, outages, or security threats; minimize downtime, prevent data loss, and mitigate security risks.
- Store Support & Project Management: Develop project plans and lead network projects (e.g., new store setups, upgrades), ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget; coordinate tasks across IT, store teams, and vendors; track progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders, translating technical details into clear, actionable insights; drive post-project evaluations to document lessons learned; act as the primary escalation point for network issues, delivering remote troubleshooting and clear guidance to non-technical staff.
- Disaster Recovery & Backup: Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plans by ensuring network configurations are backed up and tested for rapid recovery.
- Capacity Planning & Performance: Monitor bandwidth, loads, and utilization to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and plan data-driven upgrades to enhance network infrastructure, security, and store connectivity.
- Installation, Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform and/or guide deployment and configuration of network hardware, software, and security components for all locations; execute firmware updates and patches with minimal disruption; coordinate remotely with teams and vendors.
- Documentation & Change Management: Maintain detailed network records (hardware, topology, IP schemes, firewall rules) and enforce standardized change management to ensure traceability of all network changes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver performance reports, incident summaries, and trend analyses to IT leadership, providing actionable insights from network metrics and logs; support cybersecurity reporting efforts and contribute to executive-level briefings or compliance documentation.
- Testing & Validation: Perform functional, performance, security, and failover tests to ensure network reliability and compliance.

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a network administration role, ideally in a retail or multi-location environment. Proven ability to manage remote assignments and complex networks. Strong project management.
- Technical Skills
- Expertise in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, and enterprise networking tools. Familiarity with SD-WAN and cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent.
- CompTIA Network or CompTIA Security for foundational and security-focused network management.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate is a plus.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate is a plus.
Availability
- On-call availability for critical incidents (i.e., impacting store operations); occasional after-hours project work; willingness to travel to retail locations as needed (less than 5% travel).
