POSITION TITLE: Head Coach Women’s Basketball
START DATE: Open Until Filled.

CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Ranger College Main Campus/ Athletic Department
GERNERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Be responsible for all aspects of coaching and directing the Ranger College Women's Basketball program. Recruit an assigned number of female student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning, budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance. Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Perform duties of a head coach of a collegiate athletic program
- Help in recruitment of student athletes
- Must have developmental plan for academic success for student athletes in the program
- Understand student athlete’s welfare
- Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills required
- Able to work in a fast-paced, busy student-oriented setting
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
- Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits
ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
