What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Rankin Rural Medical Clinic?
We are looking for an insurance-credentialed Family Nurse Practitioner to work in our clinic and PRN throughout nursing homes in our area. Candidates should feel comfortable assessing and diagnosing patients of all ages (children and adults) in a family health clinic setting under the advisement of our medical director, as well as evaluating and diagnosing geriatric patients in an extended-stay facility setting.
Shift hours are flexible.
Examples of work include but are not limited to:
- obtaining histories
- formulating diagnosis and plan of treatment
- ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies while assessing clients' current health care needs.
- Prescribing medications and therapeutic treatments that are appropriate
- Performing related or similar duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license, as well as valid credentials. Must be willing and able to show proof of this certification. Must also have a valid DEA license, CPR certification, TB test, and insurance.
Additionally, the applicant must:
- Work in one-to-one patient settings
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other nurse practitioners
- Work independently, yet effectively
- Book and maintain all appointments
- Abide by clinic guidelines for dress and presentation
- Have flexibility regarding tasks and responsibilities

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
