Job Description
As an Estimator at Rapid Restoration, you will be responsible for evaluating damage, preparing accurate and detailed estimates, and working closely with clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams to ensure project success. You will assess the scope of water, fire, mold, and other restoration projects, develop cost estimates, and support project managers in maintaining profitability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate Preparation: Conduct thorough site assessments, document damage, and prepare detailed estimates using industry-standard software (Xactimate).
- Client & Insurance Communication: Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure estimates align with client and insurance requirements, facilitating clear and accurate information exchange.
- Scope Development: Work with project managers and field teams to determine the most effective restoration approach while aligning with industry standards.
- Cost Analysis: Accurately determine material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure project feasibility and profitability.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all estimates and reports meet insurance and industry requirements, following IICRC and other relevant guidelines.
- Quality Control: Review project scope and estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in estimating within the restoration or construction industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of restoration processes, insurance claims, and industry regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in scope assessment, cost estimation, and documentation.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using estimating software (Xactimate) and mobile documentation platforms.
