Accountant

Accountant Job Overview:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), 1099s, assisting with tax preparation, and other ad-hoc financial projects. Applicants for the Accountant position must have prior experience using QuickBooks or a related accounting software and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Maintain all financial transactions including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
• Financial statement preparation
• Oversee all accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), expenses, sales, revenue, invoicing, collections, depositing checks, and payment posting
• Issue 1099s to subcontractors annually
• Travel and expenses
• Daily, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Assist with local, state, and federal tax preparation
• Work cross functionally with teams to ensure invoicing is being done efficiently, to propose process improvements, minimize expenses, and ensure consistent flow of operations across the business
• Place orders as required by service & project needs
• Manage vendor accounts to ensure all are current in a professional manner
  

Accountant Experience:

• 1 years of accounting experience
• Previous experience with QuickBooks or related software
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Associates in Accounting with professional years of experience required
• Strong background or experience as an industry accounts representative
• Proficient standard accounting principles
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
