Alarm Technician Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our team in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal Alarm Technician candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Security, CCTV and Access systems for our clients. All Alarm Technician applicants must have previous relevant experience with cabling and installing alarms.
Alarm Technician Responsibilities
- Install and program security systems based on project specifications
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on existing alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with security systems
- Train customers on the proper use of security equipment
- Collaborate with clients to determine their security needs and provide appropriate solutions
Alarm Technician Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading for system installations
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) for compliance
- Experience with power tools for installation purposes
- Familiarity with remote access software for system monitoring
- Mechanical knowledge to handle system components effectively
- Ability to perform cabling for system connectivity
- Understanding of security systems to effectively detect and address issues
- Experience as a service technician in the telecommunication industry is a plus
