Responsibilities:
1. Greet and Assist Patients: Warmly welcome patients as they arrive, check them in, and ensure a positive first impression of the urgent care.
2. Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations, while coordinating with medical staff to ensure a well-organized schedule.
3. Patient Information: Collect and update patient information, including medical history, contact details, and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
4. Answer Inquiries: Respond to inquiries from patients, providing information about services, pricing, and policies.
5. Billing and Payments: Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records. Coordinate with billing departments as needed.
6. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the reception area and waiting room clean and organized, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for patients.
7. Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish supplies, ensuring availability for both staff and patients.
8. Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and maintain compliance with guidelines and protocols.
9. Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff, ensuring effective communication and patient satisfaction.
10. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and managing paperwork related to patient records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a urgent care or healthcare setting.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer software and basic office equipment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Discretion and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- This is a position the requires 12 hour shifts including weekends.
- The role involves standing, sitting, and occasional light lifting.
