What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk (Finance) position at Rapides Parish Civil Service?
NATURE OF POSITION
- Process general accounting duties including general ledger transactions.
- Ensure all accounting information is recorded accurately.
- Manage accounts payable activities.
- Assist with audits as necessary.
- Maintain clerical duties.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional formal training in accounting.
- Three (3) years' experience in an accounting role.
- Able to operate basic office equipment.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
- Able to stand, climb, raise, lower, lift, balance, stoop, kneel & crawl for tasks.
- Must be available to attend Parish meetings before, during, & after business hours.
- Valid Louisiana driver’s license.
