Job Summary And Qualifications
The General Maintenance employee will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance.
What you will do in this role:
- Will PM, insect, repair, assemble and install various types of equipment
- Repair electrical beds
- Inspect/repair vertical/horizontal transportation
- Repair pneumatic tube system
- Must be able to recognize and correct conditions which require maintenance work such as conveyors, laundry, and dietary equipment
- PM various types of equipment (exhaust fans, laundry equipment, dietary equipment, battery emergency lights, etc.)
- Diagnose problems and order materials/parts for repairs to equipment
- Willing to help and assist other mechanics/trades as necessary
- Move materials upon request from all departments
- Must be accessible for emergency maintenance calls.
- Shall observe safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma/GED or work experience equivalent
- Hospital/Commercial experience preferred
- Skill in the use of hand and power tools used in installations, repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds
- Five or more years of experience preferred
