Director of Project Management

Rapids Contract & Design – St. Paul, MN

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Project Management to lead and oversee our project management team in St. Paul, MN. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of commercial foodservice design and construction projects by managing resources, budgets, and client relationships. Reporting to the VP of Contract Operations, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of project management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Leadership

• Supervise, support, and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing coaching and professional development.
  
• Oversee project planning, ensuring that implementation plans align with business goals and client expectations.
  
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and deadlines to prevent cost overruns and ensure successful completion.
  
• Evaluate and manage project margins, identifying areas for cost efficiency.
  
• Assign project resources based on skill sets and availability, making adjustments as needed.
  
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure seamless project execution and ongoing business opportunities.

Business & Team Development

• Support the growth of new business opportunities in the Minnesota market.
  
• Ensure high levels of customer service and client satisfaction.
  
• Foster a collaborative and team-oriented culture across the St. Paul operation.
  
• Assist in leadership decision-making for various departments in Minnesota.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field OR equivalent years of experience in Project Management.
  
• 5 years of experience in a Project Management role, preferably in foodservice, construction, or a related industry.
  
• Experience working with Project Management software.
  
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
  
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
  
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.

Preferred:

• Experience in the commercial foodservice industry.
  
• Familiarity with general contractors and construction processes.
