The anticipated hiring range is no less than $73,000 and will be commensurate with education and experience. This is an immediate appointment. Only RCC employees will be considered for this opportunity.

Rappahannock Community College is seeking a collaborative, flexible, organized, and user-focused Librarian with a demonstrated interest in teaching and learning. The Librarian reports to the Coordinator of Learning Resources and is responsible for supporting the full services provided by the RCC Learning Resource Centers and the Richmond County Public Library (RCPL). The successful candidate will :
- Work collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty across all campuses and sites to support student success and other initiatives related to RCC.
- Provide research assistance, subject orientations, and collection development.
- Provide assistance at public service points and / or remotely.
- Serve as lead coordinator of RCC tutoring services.
- Actively participate in library, university, and / or professional-level service commitments, including library activities and events.
- Deliver information literacy instruction.
The Librarian must be comfortable with change and a rapidly changing technological environment. This position will maintain a schedule at both campuses, which may include evenings and weekends. Finalists will be asked to complete a presentation.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
