Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (BA) with strong experience in Data Governance and a solid background in investment management or banking. The ideal candidate will work closely with data stewards, technology teams, and business stakeholders to define, implement, and manage data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance. Experience with tools like Microsoft Purview is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements related to data governance, metadata management, and data quality.
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define data standards, policies, and governance workflows.
- Support the implementation of data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica).
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for data-related initiatives across the enterprise.
- Define and track data lineage, data cataloging, and classification initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data stewardship guidelines.
- Work closely with data engineering and architecture teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements related to data usage and retention.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12 15 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years focused on data governance.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle, and metadata management.
- Prior experience in the investment management or banking industry is essential.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Purview (preferred) or similar tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
- Knowledge of data lineage tools, data cataloging, and data classification techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related
