Position Overview :
The Technical Designer will work closely with the design, product development, and production teams to ensure that all designs are translated into accurate technical specifications. You will play a key role in developing garment fit, construction details, and tech packs, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency from concept to final production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with designers to interpret creative vision and transform sketches into detailed tech packs with measurements, construction details, and materials.
- Create and update technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator or other design software.
- Develop detailed specifications for each garment, including grade rules, tolerances, and construction methods.
- Conduct fit sessions, evaluate garment fit and functionality, and provide clear and actionable feedback to ensure quality standards are met.
- Partner with factories and vendors to communicate technical details, troubleshoot issues, and maintain product integrity throughout the sampling and production processes.
- Analyze and review proto samples, size sets, and TOPs to ensure accuracy and consistency with design intent.
- Track and maintain accurate records of sample progress, revisions, and approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production timelines and maintain product quality.
- Stay current with industry standards, trends, and innovations in children's wear.
