Sales Associate - Yacht Sales

Raritan Marina & Yacht Brokerage in Laurence Harbor, NJ is a full-service boatyard, marina, and new boat dealership. Due to recent growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced, enterprising, and industrious sales professional to join our team. We are the exclusive dealership for Pioneer Boats in New Jersey, and the exclusive dealer for Buddy Davis Yachts nationally.

This position is for new boat sales and sales of our fleet of brokerage vessels. You will be exposed to some of the most exciting and innovative brands in the market, attend boat shows, and take advantage of other inter-company resources to help encourage success in the field.

This is a commission based (monthly draw) position, and we are looking for a highly motivated professional who values hard work and high reward. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work in a well-established, busy marina with our successful and talented staff.

Job Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Represent Raritan Marina & Yacht Brokerage in selling new and brokerage vessels.

Foster relationships with new and existing customers

Reach agreed upon sales targets within deadlines.

Resolve customer inquiries and/or complaints.

Schedule follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments.

Creatively list and market both new and brokerage vessels to drive new business.

Must be comfortable creating content including but not limited to video, social media, etc.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED; some college is preferred

Minimum 2 years of previous sales experience

Must be self-motivated, deadline and detail oriented

Must have excellent interpersonal and networking skills

Ability to develop/foster relationships with new and existing clients

Must be competent in math fractions, decimals, and percentages to calculate items such as markups, markdowns, taxes, and sales receipts

Eagerness to continuously increase knowledge of the marine industry

Marine industry experience is preferred, but not required

USCG Captain’s License is a plus

Experience with social media, marketing, and video production is a plus
