The Raritan Valley Community College Admissions Office is currently accepting applications for an Admissions Coordinator. Primary responsibilities for this position are to work with enthusiasm to maintain and continuously improve the student experience in the Admissions Office. Incumbent must be willing to go the extra mile to close the applicant cycle for admission to the college. The incumbent must have the ability to follow up that includes processing of the application via the CRM and the SIS (Banner); organizing and recording all admission related forms, evaluating and processing admission documentations.
Essential Duties:
Evaluate and process applications using the Target X (CRM) and Banner (SIS), as well as all supplemental documents for admission. This includes verification of information, accurate data entry, retrieval of applicant information and contacting applicants when additional documents are needed.
Provide a high level of customer service in assisting students with records and admission procedures. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the services provided by the Admissions and Recruitment Office and other College departments in order to respond to inquiries appropriately and accurately; and assist with updating departmental procedures. Develop new process and procedures manuals for as applicable due to technology updates and changes in requirements. Oversee, the New Jersey State ID documentation requirements for Institutional Research.
Assist in recruitment activities, including, but not limited to Open Houses and Information Sessions. Responsible for making professional Admissions Presentations (as needed) and coordinating the Apply Online Sessions to prospective students and families during open houses.
Handle electronic processing/products in order to load and analyze high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, and other documents in accordance with RVCC admission policy to determine appropriate placement testing requirements and exemptions. Ensure compliance of immunization documentation with New Jersey state law.
Generate admission letters/packets; update related admission material as needed; maintain student records in accordance with required submission.
Evaluate curriculum from other NJ county colleges to determine eligibility for Chargeback.
Assist the Admissions and Recruitment Director with special projects and provides assistance when necessary.
Perform other related duties, as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree.
5 years' experience processing Admissions Applications with CRM's and Ellucian Banner.
Must be able to efficiently and accurately handle high volumes of time-sensitive, confidential information.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent keyboarding and software application skills, preferably using a student information system.
Excellent customer service skills as demonstrated by related successful work experience.
Detail oriented individual and the ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced setting.
Mature, professional judgment and a commitment to excellence.
Strong commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual, preferred.
Proficiency using CRM's for applications and outreach (Ex. TargetX, Salesforce, Slate, Element 451), preferred.
