We are looking for a skilled POS Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting our payment processing equipment, including credit card terminals and point-of-sale (POS) systems, while providing technical support to clients. Your ability to handle IT-related issues across hardware, software, and network infrastructure will be key to ensuring seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain payment processing equipment such as credit card terminals and POS systems at client sites or remotely.
- Provide troubleshooting support to clients for payment processing systems, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and upgrading of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.
- Ensure timely escalation of complex technical issues to higher-level support or external vendors when necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all installations, troubleshooting steps, and technical issues.
- Train clients on the use and maintenance of payment processing equipment and IT systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors to coordinate equipment repairs or replacements as needed.
- Act as back-up for internal IT support to employees, resolving issues related to hardware, software, networks, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong background in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Familiarity with payment processing systems, credit card terminals, and POS equipment is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstation setups.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and wireless configurations.
