The Journeyperson Lineperson plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and infrastructure. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Operate bucket trucks safely to access high-voltage lines and equipment.
- Conduct utility locating to ensure safe digging practices and avoid underground hazards.
- Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to diagnose electrical issues.
- Rigging block and tackle where necessary and working with ground crew to raise or lower equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to execute field service tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) during all work activities.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections conducted.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients on-site.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, including industrial electrician practices.
- Experience in bucket operation for safe access to elevated work areas.
