Job Summary
Civil Litigation firm seeking a motivated and outgoing Part-Time Legal Administrative Assistant with experience in civil litigation to undertake a variety of administrative tasks. In this role, you will provide support to our attorneys and paralegals. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, track court deadlines, create pleadings and documents via digital dictation, request medical records, summarize medical records, prepare and enter billing via PC Law, etc. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Compensation will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate person
E-filing pleadings and other legal documents in the Wisconsin and Federal Courts systems
Process daily e-filings that come in from the Courts
Assist with accounting and client billing matters with PC Law
File management - including filing and case file set-up
Assist with medical record requests, collection, organizing and summarizing records
Qualifications
Experience as legal assistant in civil litigation, preferred
Knowledge of legal terminology and Wisconsin and Federal E-filing systems
Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to work with legal technology such a digital dictation equipment
Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
