Purpose Under the supervision of the Associate General Counsel – Employment, the Corporate Counsel will work in a fast-paced setting, providing counsel regarding employment issues and related matter. In this role, you will review employment agreements; work with and serve as a liaison to outside counsel regarding employment litigation, employee benefits, and other related matters; participate in meetings and research relevant laws, as needed; and lead and support on other matters as assigned by the AGC. This position focuses on supporting Ravago’s businesses in the U.S. and Canada.   Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.                     Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity,  importance and/or priority) Contract Management: Draft, review, and revise employment and other related contractual agreements. Collaborative Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor and liaison to Human Resources and other departments regarding employment issues across the organization. Timely Advisory Support: With assistance of outside counsel, assist with strategy and representation of Ravago entities in formal employment charges and litigation. Aid and work with other attorneys in the department on various projects. Provide prompt responses to requests for employment advice, demonstrating agility and efficiency in meeting business needs. Strategic Engagement: Travel to attend meetings and fulfill additional assignments as necessary, with a potential travel commitment of up to 20% and willingness to work outside regular business hours to meet the dynamic needs of the businesses.   All other duties as assigned   Supervisory Responsibilities Not Applicable OR Note Supervisory responsibilities along with estimated span-of-control as this may help identify scope/level   Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. Ability to work with little to no oversight. Manage a substantial volume of concurrent and competing priorities. Possess excellent written, oral, and organizational skills, ensuring clarity and precision in communication with business partners. Promote and contribute to a collaborative team environment within the Ravago legal team that encourages and supports inclusion to drive innovation and reach the best solutions to complex problems including supporting subject matter specialists as they directly manage matters. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite   Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications Education: Possess a Juris Doctorate degree from a U.S. ABA-accredited law school and maintain an active and good-standing license to practice law in at least one U.S. State Bar. Experience: 3-5 years of employment experience. Prior in-house experience is highly desirable Licenses / Certifications: Valid driver’s license – required License to practice law in at least one US State Bar Language: Proficiency in English required Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
