PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Primarily responsible for housekeeping and various manual labor duties throughout the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.
Ensure the warehouse dock and aisles are clean, safe, and an efficient work environment.
Assist in loading of hand stacked containers.
Assist forklift operators in double-stacking cargo on the warehouse floor.
Ensure the parking lot is clean and free of trash and debris.
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Lead.
Knowledge / Qualificatons / Skills / Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.
Good math, language, and reading skills
Knowledge of proper PPE requirements
Considerate and respectful to coworkers
Good math, language, and reading skills
Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day
Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
Occasional climbing of ladders
Use of basic warehouse equipment
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
