Job Title: Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)

Job Description:

Raven Defense Corporation is seeking an experienced Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to oversee and assist in managing security operations in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements. The AFSO will be responsible for implementing security policies, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and maintaining a strong security culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the Facility Security Program in compliance with NISPOM and DCSA guidelines.
• Process and maintain personnel security clearances (PCLs) through DISS, eQIP, and SWFT.
• Conduct security training, briefings, and debriefings for cleared employees.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for classified information handling and storage.
• Manage self-inspections and coordinate DCSA security vulnerability assessments (SVAs).
• Maintain and update security records, visit requests, and access authorizations.
• Investigate and report security violations, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Work with senior leadership to ensure security policies align with business operations.
• Oversee COMSEC (if applicable) and support contract security requirements.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active [Secret/Top Secret/SCI] security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience in security management.
• FSO certification/training (CDSE or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DISS, NISS, and COMSEC.
• Experience conducting security training and compliance audits.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with DCSA and handling SCI programs.
• Knowledge of Insider Threat Programs and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Certifications such as ISP® (Industrial Security Professional) or SFPC (Security Fundamentals Professional Certification).
