Position Details
Position : Middle School Math (EX) Teacher
Preferred EX K-8 or 6-12 Endorsement and
Preference for a Second Teachable Endorsement in addition to the EX
Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Valid Michigan teaching certificate
Meet State of Michigan Highly Qualified Standards
Job Functions :
Knowledge of age-appropriate grade-level common core standards / MI grade-level content expectations.
The successful candidate will have the ability to build excitement and student buy-in for subject matter.
Innovative teaching techniques, proven researched based programs, and good classroom management skills required.
Responsibilities :
Instructs assigned students in the locations and at the times designated.
Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Measures student progress to encourage the mastery of school district / state / national standards
Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the ability to communicate these objectives to students.
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation
