What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Emergency Services Coordinator position at Ravenwood Health?
The Mental Health Emergency Services (ES) coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Emergency Services department including Administrative, Clinical, and/or Operational management of their program. This position serves as the main point of contact for the Hospital Access Program and includes supervision, scheduling, consultation, reporting and training while working closely with ES staff and the leadership team to ensure coordination of quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis/Assessment, treatment planning, and clinical care of Emergency Services patients
- Providing clinical consultation and risk assessment for crisis management
- Maintaining documentation, program reports, and referrals effectively
- Maintaining and correlating data gathered for outcome measures
- Maintaining program productivity requirements
- Clinical and administrative supervision
- Participation in multi-disciplinary treatment teams and RH committees
- Maintain program operations as needed, i.e. budgets, schedules, trainings, etc.
- Participates in agency and community trainings
- Complete and maintain clinical documentation within agency set timeframes
- Maintain an effective working relationship with professionals in the community and other agencies through verbal and written communication
- Conceptualize mental health, behavioral and substance use disorders in a manner that incorporates knowledge of growth and development in youth and adults.
- Assist client in defining and implementing treatment goals and develop a collaborative treatment plan. Make referrals as clinically indicated.
- Assess and manage risk on an ongoing basis and adjust level of care and recommendations as needed.
- Provide Emergency Services team coverage when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently.
- Knowledge of risk issues and verbal de-escalation abilities, as well as consultation options.
- Ability to make decisions and mobilize resources quickly and effectively in an emergency.
- Demonstrates professionalism with related professionals both inside/outside of the agency.
Required Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in social work or counseling with current Licensure in the State of Ohio. Current LSW/LPC with LISW/LPCC expected within 6 months.
- At least two years of experience working with mental health diagnosis, or in a mental health setting.
- Supervisory experience required.
