What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Emergency Services PRN position at Ravenwood Health?
Ravenwood Health is hiring for PRN Mental Health Emergency Services Therapists to support our growing team in Chardon, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and evaluations for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use emergencies though Emergency Services’ walk-in clinic.
- Provide community crisis response as part of Emergency Services’ Mobile Crisis team to agencies in the area including Geauga County Jail, UH Geauga Trauma Center, Geauga County Courts, and others.
- Provide crisis intervention and supportive outreach for clients and non-clients in and around Geauga County in collaboration with Geauga County CopeLine.
- Assist clients and fellow providers in the coordination of local resources, treatment services, and engagement.
- Complete Diagnostic Assessments to assist in timely client engagement, including for patients discharging from inpatient hospitalization settings.
- Work closely with counselors, case managers, nursing, and psychiatry staff as part of ongoing treatment teams to monitor client risk and provide support in cases of severe and persistent mental illness.
On Call is an available option and offers additional pay.
Required Education and Experience:
- Masters level Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage & Family Therapist
- LPC, LSW, MFT, LPCC, LISW, LPCC-S, LISW-S
- Experience working with clients who are at risk (preferred)
