The Receptionist is responsible for supporting the front desk activities as well as performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, provide a friendly tone, direct clients to the correct offices, and to make appointments or seek help. Making a positive first impression with all our clients is always our goal.
Receptionist Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and directly them appropriately
- Answer a multi-line phone
- Verify clients demographic and insurance information
- Collect copays, deductibles, and balances at the time of visit
- Collaborate with other departments
- Function as an arm of the billing team
- Work with the billing coordinator on process improvement
- Travel and perform job duties at all practice sites
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working as a high volume receptionist with experience in insurance intake and verification preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.
- Previous billing experience is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
