Clinical Therapist Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Supervises residential therapy services by reviewing treatment plans for appropriateness and alignment with state licensing, medical assistance (MA), and Rawhide policies; evaluating program effectiveness; implementing program improvements; providing therapeutic services and clinical consultation.

Job Responsibilities: 

1.Provides therapeutic services by completing psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans and discharge plans; counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups; evaluating and making appropriate referrals; engaging in community consultation and collaboration by communicating with client collateral contacts, such as, referring agencies, school personnel, health care providers, and family members.

2.  Maintains client records by recording, retaining, protecting, retrieving, transferring, and disposing of records/documentation in accordance with all state license requirements; completing insurance authorization paperwork throughout the course of treatment.

3. Supports program by participating in the intake and referral processes of residents; providing clinical supervision; overseeing staff development in all aspects of Residential Therapy Services, DCF 52 practices; coordinating an in-service training program; providing quality control for the program through data collection and evaluation.

4.  Markets and develops Rawhide's residential programs by networking with EAP, community programs, schools, medical facilities, government agencies, churches, businesses, families, and individuals; conducting educational workshops and training sessions for groups and individuals; researching and developing new therapeutic opportunities, trainings, and client services.

5. Maintains professional knowledge and skill set by participating and leading in case consultation and case reviews with colleagues; completing required trainings; attending educational workshops/seminars; reviewing professional publications and web sites; keeping informed of state licensing rules and regulations.

6.  Maintains staff job results by training and coaching support staff; establishing staff goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback; appraising job results.

7. Protects the credibility of the  Rawhide Mission by complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct; setting an example, in words and actions, that is consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide.

8. Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as directed or assigned by supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Oversee the residential therapy treatment plans for proper alignment with state licensing and Rawhide requirements
• Provides therapeutic services and clinical consultation with residents
• Maintain clinical record keeping and insurance paperwork
• Provides supervision to residential therapists

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• Fully licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
• Clinical supervisory experience, preferred
• Experience in trauma based treatment
• Strong leadership skills
