What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Specialist position at Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc?
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist the Director of People with the operations of the human resource department for Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Assist in Human Resource tasks. Responsible for data collection and entry of employee employment, personnel, and training records. Assist in recruiting, placing, and retaining employees. Responsible for all employee orientation and onboarding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Process Payroll.
- Assist in the onboarding of all employees, enrolling in all benefits.
- Assist is ensuring required taxes, retirement and other related payroll expenses are processed and paid.
- Compile, reconcile and issue internal and external payroll reports (Workers’ compensation, auditors, accounting) as needed and requested.
- Assist in Director of People and managers with administrative tasks such as absences, terminations, performance reports, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Assist in the recruitment process by attending job fairs, college campus visits, contacting references, communicating with applicants, conducting interviews, and setting up onboarding plans.
- Data entry of all employee employment, safety, and training records.
- Read, understand, and follow all Ray-Carroll Coop policies and procedures.
- Comply with all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations, and policies.
- Ensure all DOT and non-DOT drug testing is compliant. Pre-employment and Randoms are done correctly and stored. All clearinghouse and consortium pools are updated as necessary.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Able to build morale and group commitments to achieve goals and objectives.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
- Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
- Report even minor injuries using the employee injury report form.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
