Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. This role involves working closely with other construction professionals on-site and requires a strong understanding of various construction techniques and safety protocols.
Duties
- Prepare and set up forms for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand and power tools to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Restore and repair existing concrete surfaces as needed, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members in frame carpentry, flooring installation, and hardscape projects as necessary.
- Operate heavy equipment safely on the construction site when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials used in concrete finishing.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications effectively.
- Experience in frame carpentry is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is desirable.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods on construction sites.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
