About the Role

We are hiring a Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects to join our direct client's team. This is a remote position requiring a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in electrical design, power distribution, lighting, and energy systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and other regulatory standards. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong project management skills, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality MEP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee electrical systems for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and SKM Power Tools.
• Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and energy efficiency assessments to optimize electrical system performance.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and construction teams to coordinate system integration in MEP projects.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and contractor RFIs during the construction phase.
• Perform site inspections (if required) and provide technical guidance to field teams.
• Assist in proposal development, cost estimation, and project bidding processes.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements, energy-efficient solutions, and emerging technologies in electrical engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex electrical designs.
