About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our direct client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice litigation, providing comprehensive legal support in all phases of case management, from client communication to trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of medical malpractice litigation, including case management, document preparation, and trial support.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and summarize medical records, depositions, and other case-related materials.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, court hearings, and meetings with clients and experts.
- Communicate with clients, medical professionals, and opposing counsel to gather necessary case information.
- Manage court filings and e-filing procedures in state and federal courts.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Maintain case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and legal procedures.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in medical malpractice litigation.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and litigation processes.
