General Summary
The Human Resources-Legal Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in the electric utility industry and exposure to a wide range of HR and legal functions. This internship provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with dynamic teams, contribute to projects, and develop a deeper understanding of HR and in-house legal practices.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge
• Shadows, supports, and collaborates with the Human Resources and Legal Teams.
• Participates in recruitment, onboarding processes, and employee engagement activities to foster a positive company culture.
• Provides administrative support to the HR and Legal Teams.
• Conducts research on HR best practices, legal topics, industry trends, and compliance updates.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of HR and Legal projects.
• Updates, organizes, and helps maintain accurate HR and Legal files and databases.
• Collaborates with various departments to support HR and legal-related tasks and projects.
• Participates in HR and Legal team meetings to further develop understanding of day-to-day operations and contribute ideas and solutions.
Key Accountabilities
• Complies with all policies, procedures, and confidentiality agreements effective as a result of employment with Rayburn.
• Shares information with Rayburn management and staff, contractors, and other third parties in a timely manner, as required.
• Provides Rayburn management with updates and/or reports on work and tasks as requested or required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive management

Education:
• Academic history and/or expressed interest in HR and/or legal fields as a future vocation
Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills

• Able to work effectively in a team environment; willing to assist others
• Ability to carry out a variety of activities which require a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Physical Demands
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a computer workstation.

Salary : $20 - $30
