The Maintenance Technician assists in maintaining the landscaped areas for the town of Port Gamble locations so that they are always well maintained and up to standard. Assists with maintenance requests and related duties. Provides customer service to the town on the weekends and emergency back-up for Wedding & Events functions.
The schedule will be Thursday – Monday day shift hours.
Primary Responsibilities
Our pay range for this position is $39,900 to $59,900 based on knowledge and experience. This position is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan.

Primary Responsibilities
- Pressure washes fences, sidewalks, signs, buildings, and other areas as requested
- Change lightbulbs in church, museums, exterior lights, pavilion, post office, and other town areas as needed.
- Paint fences, porches, signs, and general touch up repairs to keep town looking fresh
- Perform garbage pick-up and general town clean up; clean-up worksites
- Maintain janitorial supplies, stock and clean restrooms
- Place rental signage, clean town signs, perform sign and post repairs and fence repairs.
- Perform road maintenance as needed such as road striping and/or painting curbs/tire stops
- Handle various light carpentry duties such as playground repair and minor electrical and plumbing repairs
- Assist with punch list items assigned by Maintenance supervisor.
- Operate the town site fire system, alarm systems and water shut off locations.
- Responsible for staying up to date with all town site procedures and regulations and reporting all incidents to the Maintenance Supervisor or Town Site Manager.
- Perform tree trimming within height restrictions; leaf control; landscaping and various outdoor planting projects
- Pressure washing as needed.
- Ensure bathrooms are cleaned before, and routinely during, each event checking to be sure paper goods are well stocked.
- Provide back-up to Events staff on an occasional basis: set up chairs/tables/linens/decorations, monitor grounds and buildings during events and keep areas clean, assist with the timely opening and closing of events and other rentals and other responsibilities as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent – at least 6 months of landscaping experience
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Basic knowledge and experience in hand and power tools
- Able to work independently and outdoors
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Reliable, arriving as scheduled with reliable transportation
