Job Summary:
Raytheon Technologies has an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, level-headed and self-directed Principal Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Specialist to support our ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts at the Andover, MA site. This complex manufacturing site offers the EHS professional opportunity to work with manufacturing and support teams to foster employee engagement, and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous workplace conditions- Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors
- Working with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirement
- Executing initiatives, programs, reports, and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
- Auditing and evaluating current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place
- Interact with employees and promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
- Position requires limited travel for participation in Company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities.
- Position requires to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a university degree with 5 years applicable EH&S experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of EH&S applicable experience or in the absence of the degree, 9 years of EH&S applicable experience is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
- Experience in managing EH&S issues in a union work environment
- Industrial hygiene experience, including gas detection systems and exposure monitoring
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with EH&S issues in a complex semiconductor facility, or similar
- Project management and execution skills
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
