Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of geometry, CAD/CAM software, and precision measurement tools. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineers and machinists to ensure that all specifications are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations using SolidWorks and CAM programming software.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles to ensure accuracy in production.
- Set up CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials.
- Conduct tests on completed parts using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to improve production efficiency.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to fabricate prototypes and assist in design modifications as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software, including SolidWorks, CATIA, and CAM programming tools.
- Strong understanding of geometry, math concepts, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
