Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in CNC machinery and heavy industrial automotive manufacturing. This role will oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of CNC machines, hydraulic presses, robotic systems, conveyors, and other heavy industrial equipment.
- Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex CNC machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with OEM specifications and industry best practices.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production.
- Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage maintenance budgets, including cost control, labor tracking, and expenditure reporting.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their technical skills and ensure safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 5-7 years of maintenance leadership experience in a heavy industrial automotive manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machinery, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance best practices.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLC programming.
- Proven experience implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of CAD software for interpreting technical drawings.
