What you will be doing :
Work with other members of the assurance practice to develop and sustain excellent client relationships.
Coordinate the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
Review and supervise assurance engagement team work on client engagements to ensure the firm's quality control procedures are followed.
Collaborate with Partners in areas of risk assessment, audit programs, internal audit reports, and budgeting.
Monitor and assess the skill sets and capabilities of the assurance team, providing ongoing feedback and articulating areas for improvement.
Advise clients on economic and regulatory risks, resolving complex accounting issues with a deep understanding of GAAP.
Act as a technical resource for the team, explaining complex topics and providing training to staff.
Keep Partners informed of engagement progress, proactively addressing technical, scheduling, or other issues and recommending solutions.
Provide leadership, training, recognition, and administrative guidance to motivate and develop team members.
Manage engagement profitability, including client billing and budget oversight.
Support firm management in decisions regarding policies and procedures, fostering team alignment with these decisions.
Accept additional administrative and supervisory responsibilities, including recruitment efforts and leading professional development initiatives.
Stay current on technical and regulatory developments impacting the assurance practice.
Assist with any other tasks as needed.
Experience you will need :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required .
8 years of progressive experience in a public accounting firm.
Minimum of 5 years of supervising and training experience.
CPA certification required .
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
